Following the success of Friary’s first lockdown video, I Wanna Dance with Somebody, which clocked up nearly 10,000 views, the Band has produced another reprise from its award winning performance at Butlins and Brass in Concert, the Elton John/Bernie Taupin classic Your Song. Skillfully arranged by MD Chris King, the video was edited by principal cornet Richard Straker, and as well as the players, features some of the Band’s younger followers too! Viewable from the Band’s FaceBook page as well as YouTube channel www.youtube.com this latest production has already notched up over 6,500 views and attracted much favourable comment from as far away as the USA.
Aside from producing the video, the Band continues to meet weekly via Zoom for quizzes and other social activities to keep the Friary family in touch with each other.
